We are pleased that we have so many locals with traps in place so early this season, and they are certainly showing us that there are plenty of fruit fly still about from last season.
The flies that have been trapped are spread across the Koraleigh Irrigation Trust area. If you don’t already have some traps in place, please stop in at the BKIT office on a Tuesday or Wednesday and get some.
Now is our best chance to trap and kill as many fruit flies as possible before they can get to the first of the host fruits – being loquats.
